2009-10 Profiles in Excellence
Greetings,
It is with great pleasure that I once again introduce you to the “Profiles in Excellence” program and to those staff that will be recognized for the honor. This is the 21st year that we have recognized staff in this way. As you are aware, last year we made changes to the nomination and selection process designed to continue to ensure that we recognize those individuals that are the highest examples of our District’s values and beliefs. I had the great pleasure of working with the Profiles Committee earlier this year as they engaged in the challenging work of selecting individuals to be recognized.
The Profiles in Excellence honorees have been selected by their colleagues because they consistently make a difference through their special efforts and their outstanding service to students, our community, and our staff throughout the district. The Board of Education and I are extremely proud to honor each of these individuals.
As in the past, throughout the coming year, the portraits of our honorees will hang in the lobby of the District Office so that we may be reminded that this year’s focus, “Excellence Together,” is achieved through our outstanding people.
Joel Shawn
Superintendent
